Burn Ban Lifted. Open Burning Including Recreational Burn Pits – May 12, 2023

Due to the recent rain, the City of Sedalia will be lifting the burn ban. Please remember any burning of brush piles still requires a burn permit. Recreational fire pits will also be authorized to be used. The Sedalia Fire Department would like to urge the community to use caution when burning and to never leave a fire unattended.

When: Beginning May 12, 2023 and continuing until further notice

Why: Rain accumulation greater than 1/2 inch
