Service Line Letter Notifications – Beginning Monday, October 21, 2024
The City of Sedalia is committed to ensuring that all citizens have access to safe and reliable drinking water. While the City does not use lead in any of the water mains leading to your property, new regulations from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under the Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR) require us to inventory the materials used in water service lines from the meter to your home or business.
As part of this mandate, the Sedalia Water Department is required to develop a comprehensive list of all service line materials connected to the City’s water system. If your service lines was identified as unknown, lead, or galvanized, you will receive a letter from the City of Sedalia. Should you have any questions about this letter or wish to update the information about your service line, please contact us at 660-971-6422 or email servicelines@sedalia.com
