Road Closure | S. Park Ave. Between Broadway Blvd. and W. 6th St. Closed Periodically

Work planned for the week of May 2, 2022 along S. Park Ave. was delayed due to rainy weather. The City of Sedalia plans to close sections of S. Park Ave. to the north of Broadway Blvd. (U.S. Highway 50) and south of W. 6th St. to through traffic periodically during the coming week, May 9 through May 13, 2022, as detailed in the below table. These road closures will be from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. each of the scheduled days. Residents along S. Park Ave. will be able to access their driveways during this time.

W. 6th St. to W. 7th St.
Thurs., May 12 – Fri., May 13

The City’s contractor will be installing storm sewer improvements in the area to reduce overtopping of street gutters and curb inlets. Heavy equipment and personnel will be in the area and it was determined the safest alternative is to close the street during this period to through traffic to allow for the work to be completed safely and timely. The below map details the area of the work. Travelers in the area are advised to find an alternate route to their destination.
