City of Sedalia Public Notice of Municipal Election and Candidate Filing Dates

In accordance with State law and Ordinances of the City of Sedalia, Missouri

Municipal Election will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2022

New Filing Deadlines:

• Opening Date for Filing: Tuesday, December 7, 2021
• Closing Date for Filing: Tuesday, December 28, 2021

Offices Up for Election

• Mayor (4-year term expiring April 2026)
• Councilman – 1st Ward (2-year term expiring April 2024)
• Councilman – 2nd Ward (2-year term expiring April 2024)
• Councilman – 3rd Ward (2-year term expiring April 2024)
• Councilman – 4th Ward (2-year term expiring April 2024)

Declaration of Candidacy may be filed with the Office of the City Clerk, 200 S. Osage, Sedalia, MO on December 7, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and thereafter Monday thru Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding the following days when City Hall is officially closed: December 23, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. and all day December 24, 2021.
