Road Closed: S. State Fair Blvd. Northbound Lane from W. 4th St. to W. 3rd St. Including the Intersection of S. State Fair Blvd. and W. 3rd St. to the East — 11:00 p.m., Monday, May 8 Through 5:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 9 — Utility Work in the Area

Evergy has notified the City of Sedalia that beginning at 11:00 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2023, through 5:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 9, 2023, S. State Fair Blvd. northbound will be closed between W. 4th St. and W. 3rd St. This includes the intersection of State Fair Blvd. and W. 3rd St. to the east to allow for utility work in the area. A significant number of utility workers, vehicles and equipment will be working in and along the roadway resulting in the need for road closure. Travelers will need to plan on using an alternate route during this period as State Fair Blvd. and W. 3rd St. will be closed.

If a resident knows in advance, they will need to leave their home between the hours of 11:00 p.m., Monday, May 8, 2023 and 5:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 9, 2023, they are encouraged to park along a nearby side street. The Evergy crew working in the area will assist them with exiting the work zone during the hours between 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. on Monday, May 8, 2023.
