Road Resurfacing | N. State Fair Boulevard Update

Beginning on Wed., Nov. 2, 2022 and continuing through Fri., Nov. 4, 2022, the City of Sedalia’s Public Works will be paving N. State Fair Blvd. from W. Main St. to Pro-Energy Drive. During this period, the roadway will be reduced to a single lane of traffic with flaggers present. Travelers are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible during this period due to delays.

Paving will begin at 5:00 a.m. and continue through 6:00 p.m. each day until the project is complete. Congestion is expected due to the lane restrictions and the volume of traffic normally using this roadway. Flaggers will be directing traffic as heavy equipment and workers will be present in the roadway during this period. Lane closures and restrictions will be in effect during the paving operation. Travelers are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible as the open lane will be width limited. Inclement weather could delay the paving operation.

Public Works planned to pave during nighttime hours to avoid heavy traffic periods, but was unable to arrange for asphalt material except during daytime hours. We apologize for any inconvenience as we work to improve roadway safety in the area.
