Washington Street Bridge

Bridge Inspectors with the Missouri Department of Transportation (MODOT) found issues with the bridge over the railroad tracks on Washington Street during a routine inspection.  A picture showing a sample of the concerns is included below.  Due to the extent of the issues found, they notified City Officials that they believe this bridge to be unsafe and should be shutdown immediately.  Heading this warning, the bridge has been closed and engineers specializing in bridges are being engaged to develop a plan.  More information will be sent out as it becomes available.
